Jew Crew loves latkes and laser tag

The North of Boston Jew Crew held its third event since April on Dec. 14 at Laserquest in Danvers, when approximately 30 teens from Swampscott, Beverly, Marblehead, Danvers, Middleton and the North Shore came out for latkes and laser tag.

“It was a great evening all in the spirit of Hanukkah,” said David Nathan, director of the Crew.

Asked for her thoughts, Ariela Solomon of Swampscott, a NoBJC member and committed Friendship Circle volunteer, said, “This is the best day of my life!!”

Brian Felsenthal of Marblehead, i.e. Mr. Pickles, said to everyone who was not in attendance, “You’re missing out,” and Sarah Levine of Swampscott said, “They should really be here, why aren’t they here?”

That’s a great question, Nathan responded, suggesting other teens “stay tuned for JewCrewTubing.  Our next event will take place at Amesbury Snow Park and there will be more details coming soon.”

Latkes and laser tag was Alana Taglieri’s first Jew Crew event, and when asked if other teens should come to JewCrewTubing, the Beverly teen said, “They should definitely go. I had so much fun, and I can personally guarantee that they will have a great experience.”

The North of Boston Jew Crew unites teens from all over the North Shore in social and Tikkun Olam events. NoBJC provides an environment where Jewish teens from all levels of observance can come together and have a great time while learning and experiencing how cool it really is to be Jewish.
